Diagnosis Murder: a tale of Love and Obsession =)

It will come as no suprise to people who have peered onto my facebook that I love Diagnosis Murder, but I recently realised that while i have been doing this blog for a while I don't think i have written one post about this amazing show. I've tried to restrain myself from writing about Harry Potter or indeed Diagnosis Murder.

I first watched this show when I was in primary school, I've got no idea how old I was, I don't even remember the first time I actually watched it, my mum tells me it was after having my teeth out at the dentist once. All I know is that from that day forward any sick day would be accompanied by an afternoon spent in the company of the wonderfully bright Dr Sloan and his family, who in case I haven't mentioned are quite adept at solving murders in L.A.

So won't you indulge me a little as I waffle on for a while about, my favourite characters, episodes and scenes of this amazing and brilliant show.

Diagnosis Murder is set in L.A, in particular Malibu where Dr Sloans house is situated, and in Community General Hospital where Doctor Sloan works as the cheif of internal medicine, he even occasionally skips over to work as a consulting detective for the police department, where his son Steve Sloan works.
The other main characters depending on the series are Dr Jesse Travis a young resident and part of The Family that forms the main 4 characters (Series 3 to 8) Dr Amanda Bently, pathology and medical examiner to the county. (Series 1 - 8). Dr Jack Stewart featured in the first two series along with Norman Briggs, Delores (Dr Sloans secretary) all whom helped Dr Sloan solve his mysteries.

Left to right: Dr Jesse Travis, Lt. Steve Sloan, Dr Mark Sloan, Norman Briggs, Dr Amanda Bentley.

I've loved this programme forver, it draws you in and becomes something familiar, you feel like a part of The Sloan family trying to help Mark solve the murders. I think what makes my love for this programme burn ever brighter is that in hours of need I always turned to this, well this and Harry Potter. I've seen every single episode at least 5 times, first three seasons on dvd and am awaiting them releasing the fourth and all the novels.

Now i'm going to leave you here my fellow readers because it is late and I have work in the morning.... I know your dissappointed, but keep checking back when I count down my top ten favourite episodes and favourite characters.... =)
